The Lincoln center covers over 16 acres and is home to 12 performing arts companies. There are thirty outdoor and indoor facilities. Over 5 million people every year are entertained. Visitors and residents enjoy many artistic events, including opera, ballet, film festivals, and educational opportunities in the performing arts.

Columbus Circle

Named for Christopher Columbus, the location is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The circle is also the location of a heavily trafficked roundabout in Manhattan. The center of the circle is also where all official distances from New York City are measured. The monument, built-in 1892, which celebrates Christopher Columbus, stands 76 feet tall. An Italian sculptor, Gaetano Russo, designed it.

The Dakota

The Dakota is famous for being the location where Beatles John Lennon was murdered in 1980. The building was constructed in 1880 and is home to artists, musicians, and actors. It is considered an official city landmark. The Dakota was included on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972 and is at the intersection of Central Park West and 72nd Street.
